High in the Italian Alps, where forests stretch towards jagged peaks and the air carries the crisp scent of pine, Aethos Monterosa is entering a new season of its story.

Known as a modern refuge that blends adventure with stillness, Aethos Monterosa is about to unveil a major renewal that will redefine the guest experience while staying true to its roots.

The most striking development is the creation of a second wing, home to 23 new suites set against magnificent mountain views. Designed by Barcelona-based Studio Astet, the new interiors are inspired by the natural contrasts of the Alpine landscape. Warm woods meet cool stone, steel accents highlight geometric details, and every space feels at once deeply traditional and quietly modern. It is a refined interpretation of the chalet: timeless in spirit, yet contemporary in execution. Astet’s philosophy runs through each detail, reinforcing the Aethos identity of immersive, intimate hospitality that heightens all the senses.

But the expansion is more than an architectural project—it is a continuation of the Aethos Monterosa vision. From its opening, the hotel has sought to be more than a destination; it has been a transformative experience at the heart of the Alps. Here, nature is not a backdrop but a companion. Step onto your terrace, and you are greeted by forests rolling into mountains; step outside the door, and you are immersed in trails, streams, and an open sky. The new suites deepen this connection, offering spaces where guests can unwind, recharge, and feel anchored to the rhythms of the land.

The design of Aethos Monterosa has always been about balance. Inside, subdued colours, soft fabrics, and wooden textures create a cocoon-like warmth, a counterpoint to the rugged beauty outside. The expansion continues this approach, ensuring that comfort and elegance flow naturally together. Guests are invited to slow down, to breathe more deeply, to notice the textures and tones that echo the environment beyond their windows.

Life at Monterosa moves between moments of discovery and moments of pause. Spend a morning climbing, hiking, or skiing, following the call of the peaks. Return in the afternoon to the hotel’s serene spa, where heat, water, and silence restore tired muscles and quiet restless minds. Evenings bring another rhythm: a seat at the restaurant, flavours rooted in Alpine traditions yet interpreted with a contemporary touch, or perhaps simply a glass of wine as the sun fades behind the ridges.

What makes this place special is not just its design or its setting, but the way the two are inseparable. The architecture doesn’t compete with the landscape; it frames it. The interiors don’t distract from nature; they invite you to feel closer to it. With the new suites, this dialogue grows richer, giving more guests the chance to inhabit spaces that feel simultaneously sheltered and expansive.

Aethos Monterosa has always attracted travellers who want more than a holiday. Some come chasing adventure, drawn by the lure of the Alps and the challenge of the terrain. Others arrive seeking peace, a slower rhythm in which to reconnect with themselves. Most find both. The hotel’s renewal is designed with this duality in mind: spaces for rest after days of movement, and spaces for reflection after days of stillness.

To mark this new chapter, Aethos Monterosa is opening its doors with a special offer for those eager to experience the renewal first-hand. Guests who book by 15 November 2025 will enjoy 20% off the best available rate, including breakfast. The offer is valid for stays between 1–21 December, 6 January–5 February 2026, and 1 March–12 April 2026 — the perfect opportunity to discover the Alps in their most enchanting seasons.
